The WDFF Conference is taking place on Saturday 18th November 2017 (as part of Inter Faith Week 2017) at the Gurdwara Sahib Leamington & Warwick, Tachbrook Park Drive, Warwick, CV34 6RH. The topic of the Conference will be “Faith and Inclusivity” and will commence at 10am, with Registration from 9.30am and will conclude at 1pm, followed by vegetarian lunch.
Aims of the Conference:
- To raise awareness in the community of the needs of all people (including people who fall under the Protected Characteristics, under The Equality Act 2010) and to involve and engage with these in respect to key issues in the Community.
- To provide the community with an outline of services and support available to them.
- To provide an opportunity for members of the Community to raise issues and concerns with key service providers.
- To build confidence in the community. No one should be discriminated against.
The Key speakers will be from the Crown Prosecution Service, Warwickshire Police, Accessible Stratford, Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action. The conference will include workshops for people to attend as well as displays/exhibits from many organisations.
