    Mick Chilvers, a Humanist celebrant will be talking about Humanism. This talk will compliment the previous talk on Secularism and no doubt will stimulate much discussion.

    9:30 amCoventry Council House front steps

    The Coventry multi-faith forum Peace Pilgrimage will take place on Saturday 2nd of November. We will meet from 9.30/45 at the Council House front steps and will start proceedings from there at 10.00am. The Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Ann Lucas OBE will make a short speech and then we will have prayers from our different religions and then we are off on our Annual pilgrimage to a Church, a Mosque, a Temple and finishing up at Coventry GGNP for a lite bite.

    RIFF is very fortunate to have Christine Allen to speak on the topic “Our Common Home – responding to the climate emergency and the world’s poor” .

    Christine  is the new Director at CAFOD. She was previously Director of Policy & Public Affairs for Christian Aid (2012 -19) and before that, Director of Progressio, the former Catholic Institute for International Relations.

    The lecture will be preceded by a light meal: Home-made hearty vegetarian soup, roll & butter, chocolate dessert, tea/coffee

    Entry to the lecture, including the meal, will cost £7 payable at the door. All proceeds after expenses will be donated to CAFOD.
